Des Moines Children Photographer I Tegan

This is going to be the first in a flurry of blog posts tonight. I’m so sorry but I am very behind! I am getting caught up tonight! 🙂 I HAVE to because I have 5 sessions in the next 2 days and I just can’t get this far behind! lol Don’t worry, I’m not behind in getting people their photos, just behind on blogging and putting them up on my site! 😉 Plus, you want to see photos, right?

This is Tegan and she is 6 months old now. You may remember seeing her newborn photos. I love watching all of these babies grow up and I love capturing that even more!

p.s. I have noticed that my photos do look kind of pixelated on my blog. I’m not real sure why, I think the blogger is sharpening them when I upload them. Rest assured, they don’t actually look like that in print! 🙂

    My name is Amanda and I am a professional wedding and portrait photographer based in Des Moines, Iowa. I travel the world photographing weddings and elopements! I have been shooting weddings 15 years now and I never tire of it. Each day is unique and beautiful in it's own way.

    I absolutely LOVE being a wedding photographer. The fantastic moments you never expect, the tiniest details and all the love and craziness that goes on at the same time. It's all amazing and I feel like I have the best career in the world, getting to capture and help you remember all of it. Days flit by in an instant and it's my job to make sure you don't a single moment, or those feelings you felt.

    In my free time I love spending time with my 2 beautiful kiddos and husband. I love to be outdoors camping, hiking or fishing, just being in nature. I'm obsessed with plants and gardening. I love finding the beauty in the outdoors and things around me. It's part of why I love photography so much, I get to find the beauty in others. Traveling and dragging my family along with me for photos is my absolute favorite! I also am pretty much a giant Harry Potter nerd. I'm obsessed with all things turquoise. I'd eat sushi every day if I could. I drink coffee ALL day EVERY day (ok and some wine) and fashion is a passion! I am a creative at heart so music and all types of art keep me entertained. I also make it a priority to be near the ocean at least once a year (if not more) and love to feel the sun on my skin whenever possible!
