Des Moines Newborn Photographer | Grayson & Harlow

Sorry I have been MIA on my blogging the past week or so.  My whole family, including me, has been super sick!  We are just finally feeling better.  I still have a sinus infection, but I am actually feeling alive again.   I’m supposed to be having surgery Friday and if I can’t get rid of this and get to feeling 100% then it has to be postponed. So, pray that I feel better by Wednesday so I can go through with my surgery!:)

On a much happier note, I had a great Valentine’s Day, aside from the fact that my hubby worked most of the day.  He got me beautiful azaleas (I LOVEEE all flowers) and chocolates.  He also got me a mother’s ring!  I have wanted one for sooo long!  I won’t have it for another 4 weeks though, it’s still on order.  It will have my kids’ names engraved in it as well as their birthstones.  I can’t wait to show you all!   The design looks a lot like my wedding ring.  It’s gorgeous!

I spent the day with my kiddos and we baked a cake for the first time ever as a surprise for Justin (my husband).  Even Lilia helped stir the batter.  Austin is really into helping me cook right now, he loves measuring things out.  It’s so cute!  It was a strawberry 3 layer cake in the shape of a heart!  I am so proud of myself because it turned out so great!  It had whipped cream cheese filling between the 3 layers and whipped strawberry frosting on the outside.  It was yummy!  I also surprised my husband with a new Mario wii game and had a big box of goodies from the popcorn factory delivered to him at work.  Here are a couple of photos of the cake we made.  Not too shabby for never making one before, if I must say so myself.:)

Here are some adorable newborn girls from a few weeks ago.  This is Grayson and Harlow, they are NOT identical.  They were 1 month old when I took these!  They signed up for my growing up baby package so we’ll be seeing them often as well.  My March is filling up fast and so is my wedding season, so if you’re needing a session or are planning your wedding, jump on it fast.  June is almost completely filled for wedding already.  I’m loving it!:)

Alicia Kennison - Perfect. My twins are two of the hardest babies I’ve ever tried to photograph. I don’t have many shots of them when they were teeny because they never settled at the same time.

LOVE these. Wish I had something like them. :) February 16, 2010 – 12:04 am
