Iowa Wedding Photographer | Connie & Joe Engaged

I know I have been MIA for a while.  I have been so so busy!  I am lucky that I love what I do!  I think I may need to start combining some blog posts after today just to try and catch up on all of my recent sessions.  Today will be the last post for a while with one session on it, with a few exceptions.   I have also been busy posting in the Real Weddings section over on TheWeddingChicks.com blog.   It feels amazing when my work is recognized.  If you are a bride to be,  jump on over to their site for some serious inspiration.  Another new blog out there is called DailyLoveJuice.com, watch for one of my recent weddings to be posted tomorrow! 🙂

Now, onto this post.  This is Connie & Joe.  Originally from Tennessee, they are in the middle of moving to Iowa.  I do not have the honor of photographing their wedding because it will be in Tn, but they loved my work so much that they at least wanted me to shoot their engagement session.  Connie just got back from serving 6 months in Iraq as a dr. in the army.  She is amazing for doing that.  Their wedding was originally supposed to be last month but she was deployed and it was postponed.  They had no photos of themselves together (aside from a few snapshots) and were so excited to have this session done.  Enjoy!  I am posting mostly the vintage versions up on the blog today.  The originals rock too!

I just wanted to show you this photo in black and white too, because I think it’s equally as great! 🙂
