Iowa & Destination Wedding Photographer | Shell & Jesse Lake Tahoe Engagement

Last week I finally got to cross shooting in Lake Tahoe in California off my bucket list!  Next Feb I am shooting Shell and Jesse’s wedding in southern California, but for their engagement they wanted lake tahoe.  Obviously, I was ecstatic when I found out!  We started the day off in the morning hiking to secret cove.  A beach known for it’s beauty, but also for being a nude beach! (yikes!). Luckily, there were only a couple of nude old men and we just did not make eye contact.  It was still worth it as it’s one of the most gorgeous beaches.  Lake tahoe has the 2nd clearest water in the country of any lake.  This is because they have phytoplankton!  Little science lesson for you there.  Anyway, we wanted to do a late morning shoot when the sun was high in the sky in order to show off the color of the water.  It did not disappoint!  That was honestly my favorite part of the day.  Then, later in the evening we rock climbed and explored more beaches for a few hours im the evening light.  The whole day was just a dream!  Ok, enough rambling, go check it out!
