I am LOVING Weddings!! I Des Moines Wedding Photographer

I am a little behind on my blog as usual! 😉 I have recently started photographing weddings and I am loving it!!! I have been spending a lot of time working on my website and revamping how things work to advertise and pull in some wedding clients! I so love shooting weddings; I love all the tiny details and the beautiful moments. It all makes me appreciate the love in this world. I SO love my job! I took these photos of my little baby girl Lilia a few weeks ago. She was modeling a pettiskirt for MaggiesRoseGarden.com. I think this top photo is one of my fav photos of her ever! She is such a little model!! 🙂

My name is Amanda and I am a professional wedding and portrait photographer based in Des Moines, Iowa. I travel the world photographing weddings and elopements! I have been shooting weddings 15 years now and I never tire of it. Each day is unique and beautiful in it's own way.

I absolutely LOVE being a wedding photographer. The fantastic moments you never expect, the tiniest details and all the love and craziness that goes on at the same time. It's all amazing and I feel like I have the best career in the world, getting to capture and help you remember all of it. Days flit by in an instant and it's my job to make sure you don't a single moment, or those feelings you felt.

In my free time I love spending time with my 2 beautiful kiddos and husband. I love to be outdoors camping, hiking or fishing, just being in nature. I'm obsessed with plants and gardening. I love finding the beauty in the outdoors and things around me. It's part of why I love photography so much, I get to find the beauty in others. Traveling and dragging my family along with me for photos is my absolute favorite! I also am pretty much a giant Harry Potter nerd. I'm obsessed with all things turquoise. I'd eat sushi every day if I could. I drink coffee ALL day EVERY day (ok and some wine) and fashion is a passion! I am a creative at heart so music and all types of art keep me entertained. I also make it a priority to be near the ocean at least once a year (if not more) and love to feel the sun on my skin whenever possible!
