OK ok, so this post is quite a bit late.  I’m typing this at 11:53pm on Jan 31st, so at least it still counts as January, right?!  This post was seriously tough to make.  How do I choose favorites from pretty much all my sessions over the year that were not couples?  It wasn’t easy and there are so many more wonderful photos I want to share, but I have to limit it somewhere.  Thank you SO much to all of my AMAZING clients of 2011.  I had such a stellar year, it was beyond anything I could have ever imagined and I couldn’t have had that year without you all.  <3

I feel that senior portraits have reached a new age.  Who wants boring studio shots for your senior photos anymore?  I think senior photo sessions should be more of a lifestyle shoot.  Out with the studio and in with the fun outdoor sessions that showcase seniors and their personalities.   Ginny is a fun, energetic, sweet and beautiful girl and I feel like that shines through in every single photo she took.

I know I have been very behind in blogging my children sessions.  It’s not that I haven’t had any, it’s more the opposite.  I’ve had so many I don’t have time to even think about blogging!  So after many requests, here is a quick recap of the last couple of months.  A favorite or two from each session.  I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I’ve enjoyed taking them!

I realize that this side of my blog has been severely neglected recently and I’m very sorry.  I have to prioritize what gets done first and blogging children photos gets pushed back because I do so many of them!  So to hold you for now, here is one of my new favorite shots of my daughter Lilia.  She is going to be 3 in a couple weeks.  I can’t believe how time flies.  This is her new favorite hat and she wears it probably once a day, at least!

I had the wonderfully unique opportunity to photograph a Chicago Cubs player (Luis Montanez) and his fiance Andrea last month.  They are having a baby any day now and loved my work enough to have me shoot their maternity session while I was in Chicago.  They wanted something personal to them, so we decided to do half of them on Wrigley field where they play.  It was so much fun!  I got to bring my husband along and he was in 7th heaven, being the baseball fanatic that he is.  We then moved to Lake Michigan for the rest.  It was just gorgeous.  The water was clear and blue just like the ocean.  Probably one of my most memorable maternity sessions ever!  Thanks Andrea & Luis, we had a great time and good luck with your new princess!

Also want to note that I’m aware I haven’t been posting on this blog.  I’ve just been way too busy, but I hope to catch up when things slow down a little!
