OK ok, so this post is quite a bit late.  I’m typing this at 11:53pm on Jan 31st, so at least it still counts as January, right?!  This post was seriously tough to make.  How do I choose favorites from pretty much all my sessions over the year that were not couples?  It wasn’t easy and there are so many more wonderful photos I want to share, but I have to limit it somewhere.  Thank you SO much to all of my AMAZING clients of 2011.  I had such a stellar year, it was beyond anything I could have ever imagined and I couldn’t have had that year without you all.  <3

I feel that senior portraits have reached a new age.  Who wants boring studio shots for your senior photos anymore?  I think senior photo sessions should be more of a lifestyle shoot.  Out with the studio and in with the fun outdoor sessions that showcase seniors and their personalities.   Ginny is a fun, energetic, sweet and beautiful girl and I feel like that shines through in every single photo she took.

I photographed Hilary last weekend.  She was such a blast!  She was up for any ideas I had as well as some of her own.  We went all around downtown and waterworks (although 75% of it was shut down due to the flooding).  Check her out, isn’t she great?!  You can tell she watches America’s Next Top Model.  She has the smeyes down!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years!  I know I sure did.  It went by so fast!  I’ve spent all night tonight reflecting on 2009 and thinking about what I want to achieve for 2010.  I thought it would be appropriate to make a post with some of my fav images of 2009 (a select few from end of 08 because I never did a post of them).  Basically my business has completely taken off for me in 2009.  I didn’t really truly start it until the end of 2008 and it has just exploded!  I love every minute of it!  I have some great things in mind for 2010 so stay tuned!  Here are some of my fav. images.  It was very very hard to choose and I still chose WAY too many!  So, this post is going to be super long but hopefully worth it!
