I am proud to announce that one of my photos have been featured in the Sept. issue of Marie Claire magazine as an ad for Ritani Jewelers. They will also be making a feature post about me and my work on their facebook page here as well as the blog on their page here in the next few of days, so watch for it! It is very exciting! You may notice that my blog looks totally different. This is just the beginning of a branding change, so bare with me as things may be changed or added to in the coming weeks. It’s still me! It’s also the reason why I haven’t blogged in a while because I’ve been working on the designs.

In other news, today I got one of my previous couple’s (Tessa & Nick) album in and it’s just beautiful. I like to use FINAO for my flush mount albums and they are pretty much amazing. I snapped a few photos before sending it on to her! Check it out! I may have to order one of these for myself, just of her wedding. <3

I got my Finao ONE album in today! I will be showing these at client meetings, but I thought I would post some photos of it online. I also have a ton of cover samples and materials to choose from if you look at them in person. This thing is gorgeous! You can’t tell in the photo, but the cover is actually the Metallic option. The photo is made of metal and is BEAUTIFUL! There are a ton of awesome upgrade options available for this album. I will go over all upgrade options and pricing in meetings. In my wedding package you will get to choose between the Millers Layflat Album or a $500.00 credit to use toward one of these albums! The pages are SUPER thick and durable. It is just amazing!

Introducing..Eco-Friendly Packaging!! | Des Moines Wedding Photographer

I am proud to introduce my brand new packaging for weddings. The idea of eco-friendly packaging was inspired by fellow photographer Caroline and changed to be unique to me and my vision. Everything in this packaging is either 100% recycled, or completely eco-friendly. I think it’s very important that everyone do their part in going green.

These are beautifully handmade Loktah DVD cases.

Right now, I etch the photo onto the dvd using Lightscribe, but this may change to color label photos.

It also contains an envelope with your printing rights and dvd instructions.

I have been in the process of remodeling my branding and I wanted to show you my new booklets I hand out at wedding consults. If you are interested, I can e-mail you a PDF version of them as well. They are really nice and add a nice touch, I think! I can’t wait until all of my new packaging arrives as well as my Finao albums to show everyone! It’s all a very exciting new step in my business.

Weddings are just amazing to me. I still seriously tear up at every one of them as if they were my own. I think that is what makes me a good wedding photographer. I get atatched to them all. I love all of the emotion and I love all of the details! There is no part of a wedding I don’t like and I could do it every day if I had to (although I would probably die of exhaustion!). I am going to start blogging about local venues that I recommend to brides as well, so stay tuned!
