Right now I am just doing photography as a side business, but hope to do it full time once my kids are in school. During the day I stay at home and run an in-home daycare so I can be home with my children. I currently work on weeknights after 6:15pm and all days on weekends.
I specialize in just about any type of photography. This includes, but is not limited to:
Newborns, Infants, Toddlers, Children, Families, Maternity, Seniors, Engagements, Weddings, Boudoir, Trash The Dress Sessions, etc.! I also love taking photographs of nature and wildlife, so even if you want your pets photographed, I can help you!
Amanda’s Style/Your Investment:
I am an on-location photographer only. This means that I come to you! I prefer to bring backdrops and props along with me. I am open to coming to your home for sessions, going to the park, or pretty much anywhere you’d like!
The session fee that you pay is for my time and talents. I work very hard to make sure I get those special shots that you will remember forever. I also work very hard after your session making sure every photograph I take is just perfect for you. For this same reason, there is also a $100.00 minumum print order required for every session. I allow your 2 weeks to make your order until the option to buy prints goes away. If for some reason you miss your deadline, there will be a 25.00 fee to reactivate your gallery to buy prints. This is because I am charged for this as well.
What To Wear:
It is preferred that you don’t wear clothing that has strong patterns on it or logos. Colors are ok though, especially for children, bright bold colors are great for capturing the essence of being a child. For little girls, tutu’s, tutu dresses and petti-skirts are always great! I do own some and can offer to bring them with me. I can also suggest a great boutique for them that is local! MaggiesRoseGarden.com is one of my partner boutiques and she sells lots of things for little girls to wear in photo shoots!
What I do:
I love capturing real moments. From a child playing and dancing to a couple laughing and being themselves. I want you to feel relaxed around me so that I can showcase you! For this reason I don’t set a time limit or pose limit on my photography. I make sure to stay till I am happy with what I have captured.
NEWBORNS:
I LOVE newborn sessions. There is something about it that is just so wonderous. They are just so tiny and I know as a mother it is hard to remember a time when they were that small.
Expect newborn sessions to last 3-4 hours. Things need to move slowly to make sure the newborn is comfortable, warm and has a full belly. We want them to be sleepy! Newborns photograph best in their birthday suits. The reason for this is because clothes usually look awkward on them at this age. Adding cute little accesories is a fun way to make the photo unique.
- Please call me to set up newborn sessions while you are pregnant if you can. Just tell me your estimated due date so I know to be expecting it around that time. It’s best to try and have the session within the first week or so of life, while they are still sleepy and bendy!

After Your Session:
I like to do photo manipulations like black & white, sepia, vintage, or textured for free. I always offer the original as well. Everyone has a different taste in how they like their photo’s done. Most photographers charge you for this, but I don’t because I want you to be happy with them regardless!
Because of this, please allow me 1-2 weeks to process your photo’s after our photoshoot and get them on my website. After I get them on my website you will have 2 weeks to purchase prints/products before your gallery will expire. If you don’t order prints within that time-frame and want the gallery re-activated for ordering, I will do so for a $25.00 fee.
